cRIPGBM is an active metabolite of the anticancer prodrug RIPGBM (Item No. 27860).{35798} It is formed from RIPGBM selectively in GBM1 glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) cancer stem cells (CSCs) over primary human lung fibroblasts (HLFs). cRIPGBM induces apoptosis in GBM1 cells (EC50 = 68 nM). It binds to receptor-interacting serine/threonine kinase 2 (RIPK2) in a cell-free assay, as well as inhibits the interaction between RIPK2 and TGF-β-activated kinase 1 (TAK1) and promotes the interaction between RIPK2 and caspase-1 in GBM1 cells.
