Used for the determination of carbohydrates by fluorescence densitometry after TLC, in the determination of H2O2 by chemiluminescence, and as a fluorescent additive used in indirect fluorimetric detection in OTC-HPLC. Used as a component/substrate of the 2′,7′-dichlorofluorescein diacetate (DCFH-DA) assay to quantitate reactive oxygen species (ROS).
