Prion Protein (PrP) and namely its abnormal isoform, partially resistant to proteinase K (PrPres), is the only specific molecular marker of the Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathies (TSEs) such as Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathie (BSE) or its human form, the New Variant of Creutzfeld-Jakob disease.|This antibody recognises the 149-161 peptide motif on the ovine sequence that is EDRYYRENMYRYP.

实验应用:

Reconstitute the content of the vial in 1 mL of water.|IHC for sheep PrPres without PK treatment|For immunohistochemistry, the optimal working dilution must be determined empirically (currently between 0.1 and 1 µg/mL). Mab 2G11 binds to the partially denatured or oxidized normal prion protein in vitro and as such is an indicator (by lack of signal) of preservation of the native state.
