PuroMAG™ Viral DNA and RNA Purification Kit, Magnetic, 5 Preps Trial Kit

The PuroMAG™ Viral DNA and RNA Purification Kit is designed to provide a simple and easy-to-use method for extraction of viral genomic nucleic acids from blood, plasma, serum, buccal or nasal swabs, and saliva. This kit can be used for both DNA and RNA viruses as our buffer formulations and column membranes are specially optimized to bind both DNA and RNA nucleic acids. Our kit greatly simplifies the extraction process by incorporating a convenient and easy-to-use extraction technology based on nucleic acid binding to silica-coated magnetic beads. High quality DNA and RNA extracted with the PuroMAG™ Viral DNA and RNA Purification Kit can be used for a range of downstream applications, such as reverse transcription or qPCR. This kit offers both low and high throughput applications using a manual magnetic rack or automated purification systems. The high-throughput protocols have been optimized for Auto-Pure Nucleic Acid Purification systems offered by Luna Nanotech, but can be adapted to other purification systems (i.e. Kingfisher Flex, Hamilton Microlab STAR, Biomek FX, etc.). For manual purification we recommend using Luna Nanotech's PuroMAG™ 8-Position Mini Magnetic Rack (Cat# MGR-008) and PuroMAG™ 16-Position Mini Magnetic Rack (Cat# MGR-016), which have been optimally designed for fast and convenient manual purification of Viral DNA and RNA . Features: - Flexible magnetic bead-based protocols (low sample manual purification or high through-put automatic purification) and centrifugation is not required - Simple extraction process with no need for phenol or chloroform - Intended for viruses such as Coronaviruses, Orthomyxoviruses, Adenoviruses, Herpesviruses, etc. - High-quality extracted viral DNA and RNA can be used for a range of downstream applications such as qPCR, RT-qPCR
