Shown to have acetylcholinesterase and butyrylcholinesterase inhibitor activity and moderate to weak alpha-glucosidase inhibitory and antioxidant scavenging activity. Also used as a building block in the synthesis of fluorogenic substrates for the detection of bacterial beta-Galactosidase.
