Located in cytoplasm and nucleus. Is expressed in several structures, including alimentary system; branchial arch; central nervous system; genitourinary system; and sensory organ. Used to study type 1 diabetes mellitus 7. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in glucose intolerance; hyperglycemia; maturity-onset diabetes of the young type 6; type 1 diabetes mellitus; and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
