功能与背景:
Nucleolar protein 30 (Nop30) is coded by the Arc gene. The nuclear isoform of Nop30 (1/Nop30)may be involved in RNA splicing and the cytoplasmic isoform (2/Myp) may inhibit apoptosis. Isoform 1 oligomerizes and binds to SFRS9/SRp30C and also interacts with NPM1. Isoform 2 binds caspase 2, caspase 8 and CED3 and inhibits caspase 8 activity. Nop30 isoform 1 is found in nucleoli and nucleoplasm. Nop30 isoform 2 is cytoplasmic. Nop30 is highly expressed in heart and skeletal muscle with lower levels detected in placenta, liver, kidney and pancreas
