The PepMix™ Human CMV (pp65) peptide pool offers a highly effective tool for studying immune responses to Human Cytomegalovirus (HCMV). The peptides included in this pool represent T-cell epitopes that are recognized by CMV-specific CD4 and CD8 T-cells across a broad range of MHC contexts (see table below). As most people have CMV-specific T-cells recognizing HCMV pp65 the PepMix™ Human CMV (pp65) is often used as a positive control in T-cell stimulation assays. It is also useful for isolating CD4 and CD8 T-cells from PBMCs after activation. This isolation uses antibody-labeled magnetic beads.
