人前列腺特异性抗原(PSA)，又称血管舒张素3（Kallikrein 3，KLK3）是人组织Kallikrein家族中的丝氨酸蛋白酶。PSA主要由前列腺上皮细胞产生，作为非活性酶(proPSA)分泌入腔。proPSA是分子量为28kda含有244个氨基酸的蛋白质，通过从n端去除7个氨基酸，proPSA被激活成PSA并表现出类似于糜蛋白酶的酶活性。PSA的主要生理功能是切割精液中的凝胶形成蛋白、精凝蛋白I和精凝蛋白II。如果前列腺组织发生损伤，如前列腺增生和前列腺癌，PSA会渗透到血液循环中，导致血清PSA水平升高。因此，血清PSA含量的异常上升提示前列腺疾病前兆。
