The lyophilized IP-10 recombinant protein is stable for at least 2 years from date of receipt at -20˚C. Reconstituted IP-10 is stable for at least 3 months when stored in working aliquots with a carrier protein at -20˚C. As with any protein, exposing IP-10 recombinant protein to repeated freeze / thaw cycles is not recommended. When working with proteins care should be taken to keep recombinant protein at a cool and stable temperature.

功能与背景:

IP-10 is a CXC chemokine that signals through the CXCR3 receptor. IP-10 selectively chemoattracts Th1 lymphocytes and monocytes, and inhibits cytokine-stimulated hematopoietic progenitor cell proliferation. Additionally, it is angiostatic and mitogenic for vascular smooth muscle cells. Recombinant rat IP-10 is an 8.6 kDa protein consisting of 77 amino acids including the four conserved cysteine residues present in CXC chemokines.

Greater than 98% by SDS-PAGE gel and HPLC analyses.

Endotoxin level is less than 0.1 ng per μg (1EU/μg).

Biological activity was determined by its ability to chemoattract hCXCR3/HEK293 cells using a concentration range of 10.0 - 50.0 ng/mL.
