Prevents islet cell apoptosis, hyperglycemia and type 2 diabetes through it's antioxidant properties. Antibacterial agent. Antiviral. Shown to inhibit viral replication of canine distemper virus (CDV). Glycosyltransferase B (GTFB) inhibitor.
