HEK293 cells from ATCC (Cat# CRL-1573) were grown to 85% confluency, harvested, homogenized in modified RIPA buffer and cleared by centrifugation. Modified RIPA buffer. Protein concentration of the cell lysate was determined, and the lysate was boiled for 5 min in SDS sample buffer.
